About the Role

As a Trials Pharmacist, you will join the pharmacy section of our operational team, providing Investigational Medicinal Product (IMP) management support to Chief Investigators. Your responsibilities will include identifying and agreeing on requirements for active and comparator IMPs, discussing blinding options, sourcing suppliers, and overseeing manufacturing plans. Additionally, you will develop and deliver operational plans to support multicentre trials in compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist IMP management support to Chief Investigators.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels of IMPs at manufacturers, vendors, and study sites throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage communications between Chief Investigators and manufacturers.
  • Collaborate with contracts teams, Sponsors, and Trial Managers to ensure effective IMP management in clinical trials.

About You

To succeed in this role, you must be a qualified pharmacist with substantial clinical trials experience in hospital, academia, or industry settings. A thorough understanding of clinical trials legislation is essential.

Essential Criteria:

  • Master’s degree in pharmacy or equivalent.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council of Great Britain (GPhC).
  • Post-graduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent.
  • Experience as a Clinical Trials Pharmacist.
  • Knowledge of IMP legislation and guidance.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organisational, IT, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to motivate others.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience reviewing drug supply agreements and technical/quality agreements.
  • Line management experience.
  • Project management experience.

Additional Information

This full-time position (35 hours per week) offers an indefinite contract. The primary location is Denmark Hill, with potential travel to other locations for project meetings within King’s Health Partners (KHP) and occasionally across the UK and overseas.
