Band: 7
Hours: 30 hours per week
Salary: £43,742 – £50,056 per annum (pro rata)

An excellent opportunity awaits a motivated and experienced Senior Pharmacist to join our passionate team. We are dedicated to enhancing our pharmacy services and ensuring that our patients receive top-notch pharmaceutical care. This part-time role, spanning 30 hours weekly from Monday to Friday, is open to applicants from various pharmacy sectors.

While primarily a weekday position, some evening, weekend, and Bank Holiday duties may be required. Additionally, participation in our on-call service, as per the rota, will be expected. Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) is mandatory.


Main Duties of the Job

This role is based at Harplands Hospital in Stoke-on-Trent. Core responsibilities include providing ward pharmacy coverage, participating in regular MDT meetings, and handling certain dispensary tasks. You will offer specialist clinical advice across diverse clinical areas, develop prescribing guidelines, and deliver medicines training to staff.

The role also offers opportunities to shadow in various specialist areas, broadening your experience, skills, and knowledge. We are committed to supporting your professional development and encourage you to pursue relevant education and training to help you reach your full potential.

Through funded postgraduate study, you will enhance your clinical skills and grow your management expertise. We are looking for someone who is organized, self-motivated, and possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt swiftly to new situations.
