Summary

Role Overview

This position is ideal for individuals with a background in hospital pharmacy or those with community pharmacy experience looking to transition into a hospital environment. We provide comprehensive training and development to support this career change.

Qualifications

Candidates must have successfully completed the relevant units of pharmacy services skills NVQ level 2 (QCF) or an equivalent GPhC accredited training program. Experience as a qualified Pharmacy Dispenser, along with strong communication skills and proficiency in using computer systems for dispensing, stock control, and word processing, is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense medications accurately for hospital patients.
  • Manage stock control efficiently.
  • Utilize computer systems for dispensing and word processing.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Handle hospital-only medications with precision and care.

Working Environment

The Outpatient Pharmacy is located at Kings College Hospital London. Our opening hours are Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 9 PM, and Weekends and Bank Holidays, 9 AM – 5 PM. This full-time role requires working 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis to meet business needs.
