Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team at The Christie Private Care Centre, a facility renowned for its Outstanding rating by the CQC. As part of the world’s largest private healthcare group, our center provides top-tier cancer care and houses the globe’s most extensive early clinical trials unit. The successful candidate will be integral in delivering a comprehensive range of diagnostic, inpatient, surgical, daycare, and outpatient treatments.
Main Duties
- Support the operational management of core pharmacy services, including three dispensaries, pharmacy procurement, stock control and management, medicines distribution, ward top-up, and medicines management.
- Report to the Regional Lead Pharmacy Technician, Senior Pharmacy Technician, and Regional Pharmacy Manager.

Job Responsibilities
As a key member of our Pharmacy Team, you will:
- Assist in delivering a comprehensive pharmacy service that meets all service users’ needs.
- Contribute to the efficient daily operation of the dispensary, working under the supervision of a Senior Pharmacy Technician with support from a Pharmacist.
Person Specification
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- BTEC or equivalent NVQ in Pharmacy Services.
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Additional specialist training/knowledge as appropriate.
Desirable:
- Accredited Checking Technician Qualification.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This position requires a Disclosure and Barring Service check due to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
