Job Summary

As a Rotational Specialist Clinical Pharmacist, you will collaborate with a team of experienced and advanced specialists dedicated to enhancing patient care and fostering the professional growth of junior pharmacists. The position offers the opportunity to gain experience across various specialities, including Acute Medicine, Critical Care, Haematology/Oncology, Paediatrics, Antimicrobial Stewardship, and more. Each rotation spans six months and includes clinical duties, dispensary responsibilities, and specialized project work. We are committed to supporting your continued education and professional development, with opportunities to pursue a diploma and prescribing qualification if not already obtained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in a structured rotational program that covers various specialities, ensuring comprehensive clinical and dispensary experience.
  • Contribute to speciality projects and engage in development work aligned with the national Core Advanced Pharmacist Curriculum.
  • Support and mentor junior pharmacists, contributing to their professional development and clinical knowledge.
  • Engage with Keele University Pharmacy and Medical Schools to deliver formal and informal teaching sessions, and partake in research activities.
  • Participate in training programs such as the UKCPA Critical Care module and the Trust’s Gateway to Management and Leadership courses.
