Summary:
Nuffield Health Ipswich Hospital is currently seeking a skilled Pharmacist Manager to join our dynamic team. This permanent, full-time position offers a competitive salary of up to £48,000, depending on skills and experience. As a Pharmacist Manager at Ipswich Hospital, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality clinical care and advice across various departments, including the Pre-assessment clinic, Outpatient Department, Ward, and Theatres. Your responsibilities will involve collaborating with the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring safe and cost-effective medicines management, and optimizing the use of antimicrobials to minimize hospital-acquired infections.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide leadership and advice on medicines management, ensuring safe, cost-effective, and legal processes.
- Chair the Medicines Management Forum quarterly and lead Antimicrobial Stewardship efforts.
- Conduct daily ward rounds, reconciling medication, counseling patients, and managing PODs.
- Facilitate timely and informed patient discharges, dispensing, and checking TTOs.
- Lead the implementation of medication safety alerts and drug recalls, collaborating with the Matron and Quality Lead.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with DoH guidance on controlled drugs use in the hospital.
- Manage errors, complaints, and incidents following Nuffield Health guidelines.
