At Practice Plus Group, our pharmacy teams ensure medicines optimization is integrated into everyday practice.

The primary focus of the role is to provide a dispensary and wing-based clinical pharmacy service and collaborate with the Lead Pharmacist in offering medicines management support to various wings within HMP Hollesley Bay. You will be accountable for the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, and high-quality prison pharmaceutical service.

Working closely with the Head of Healthcare and the multidisciplinary team, your responsibility will be to ensure that the service provision meets contractual obligations. The role also entails providing daily expert advice on pharmaceutical matters and ensuring the delivery of a safe yet modern medicines management service to prisoners.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide a dispensary and wing-based clinical pharmacy service.
  2. Collaborate with the Lead Pharmacist in offering medicines management support.
  3. Ensure the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, and high-quality prison pharmaceutical service.
  4. Work closely with the Head of Healthcare and the multidisciplinary team to meet contractual obligations.
  5. Provide daily expert advice on pharmaceutical matters.
  6. Ensure the delivery of a safe and modern medicines management service to prisoners.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Registered Pharmacist with relevant certifications.
  • Experience in a clinical pharmacy role, preferably within a secure environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to ensuring the highest standards of healthcare delivery.
