Summary
NHS Jobs is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Nuneaton. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and accurate receipt and management of pharmacy goods. Key Responsibilities
Receiving Goods: Accept and sign for all goods arriving at the pharmacy, ensuring they match delivery notes and orders, excluding controlled drugs which must be verified by a pharmacist.
Problem Resolution: Identify any issues with deliveries and implement appropriate corrective actions in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including batch numbers and expiry dates, both manually and in the pharmacy computer system, ensuring a reliable audit trail for product recall or finance department queries.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 9.00am to 5.30pm (1-hour lunch break)
Rotational Weekends & Bank Holidays: 9.00am to 5.00pm (30-minute lunch break)
Skills and Qualifications
Strong attention to detail for checking deliveries against documentation.
Ability to follow SOPs and resolve delivery issues effectively.
Competency in recording information manually and using computer systems.
