Summary
Heavy Lifting and Team Collaboration:
Undertake daily heavy lifting and pushing/pulling as part of the pharmacy stores team.
Monitor and maintain ward stock levels collaboratively with the team.
Pharmacy IT System Proficiency:
Utilize the Pharmacy IT system to label and dispense medication based on prescriptions, orders, and Controlled Drug requests.
Adhere to prescriber instructions during the dispensing process.
Compliance Aids Preparation:
Organize, label, and prepare compliance aids such as Dosette boxes for efficient medication management.
Prescription Assessment and Documentation:
Assess POD drugs against TTA prescriptions, providing relevant information and documenting any discrepancies.
Prescription Tracking System Management:
Utilize the prescription tracking system to book in and track prescriptions at each stage in the process.
Log work collected by porters or ward staff, ensuring a systematic workflow.
Team Support and Turnaround Time Management:
Support the team leader in managing the prescription tracking system to ensure prescriptions are completed within allocated turnaround times.
Independent Service Provision:
Work with minimal supervision to provide admission, supply, and discharge services to nominated wards.
Liaise directly with pharmacists, doctors, and nursing staff as appropriate to ensure seamless service delivery.
