We invite applications to join the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Lab of Drug Delivery, Nanomedicine & Advanced Therapeutics at the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy, LKS Faculty of Medicine. We seek motivated postdoctoral fellows, PhD students, a lab technician, and a research officer.

Research Focus:

Our lab employs nanotechnology to understand, diagnose, and treat diseases, with a focus on cancer and neurodegenerative conditions. Collaborative and multidisciplinary, we aim to impact lives beyond the lab.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Design and develop small molecules, nucleic acids, and peptide therapeutics.

Characterize nanoparticles using cutting-edge techniques.

Assess physicochemical properties, stability, drug release kinetics, and encapsulation efficiency.

Integrate innovative approaches to enhance therapeutic specificity and efficiency.

Conduct in vitro and in vivo studies, developing disease models for efficacy assessment.

Collaborate internally and externally, periodically reporting progress.

Initiate and contribute to grant writing, supervise students, and disseminate research findings.

Requirements:

Education and Expertise:

Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, or related fields.

Post-doctorate experience preferred.

Proven track record in high-quality biological or chemical research.

Research Skills:

Strong background in various research areas, including pre-clinical studies, immunotherapy, and gene therapy.

Proficiency in cell and molecular biology experimentation techniques.

Desirable Skills:

In vivo tracking modalities, imaging techniques, and bioinformatics.

Experience with patient tissue handling, cryo-electron microscopy, and analytical techniques.

Administrative and Collaborative Skills:

Ability to manage research programs financially and administratively.

Independent work, excellent problem-solving, collaboration within a team, and student supervision.

Language and Technical Competence:

Excellent written and spoken English.

Grant writing and additional funding acquisition skills.

Proficient in IT for efficient data management and communication.
