Summary: Join our dynamic team at Kings College Hospital London as a Pharmacist, contributing to the safe, efficient, and effective delivery of outpatient pharmacy services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide day-to-day leadership and management as the Responsible Pharmacist, ensuring compliance with national and local standards. This permanent position offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on patient care and contribute to the overall success of our pharmacy services.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure safe and effective delivery of outpatient pharmacy services.
- Provide leadership and act as a role model for support staff.
- Fulfill statutory responsibilities as required by the General Pharmaceutical Council and DoH.
- Contribute to the development of high-quality outpatient services.
- Develop effective relationships with prescribers and contribute to additional clinical services.
- Support the optimization and development of overall profitability.
- Collaborate with the Superintendent Pharmacist and Pharmacy Manager.
- Work collaboratively with clinical pharmacists and service leads to enhance medicines management.
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively across professional boundaries.
- Ability to influence others with no direct management control.
- Initiative, effective prioritization, and good time management.
- Keyboard skills, proficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated leadership, vision, enthusiasm, and innovation.
Qualifications:
- Registration as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Evidence of advanced clinical knowledge, postgraduate clinical qualification, or equivalent experience of at least 18 months.
- Experience as a qualified pharmacist in various settings, including temporary or day-to-day management.
- Experience in developing a business or organization, or part of a new team.
- High degree of self-motivation, organization, and prioritization.
- Pragmatic, methodical, systematic, and resilient-focused.
