Job Summary

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, committed to safe, high-quality care, is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant to join its Technical Services Team. The Production Unit focuses on aseptic preparation, development, and supply of patient-centered medicines. The role includes preparing injectable systemic anti-cancer therapy and parenteral nutrition for neonatal and adult patients. The Transforming Access to Medicines (TRAMS) NHS Wales programme aims to establish a shared Pharmacy Technical Service, creating a Centralised Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Service across Wales.

The successful applicant will undergo NVQ Level 2 in Aseptic Preparation and a Pre and In-process accuracy checking course.

Main Duties

Enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacy Assistant for a controlled manufacturing environment.

Aseptically prepare various injectable medications, ensuring accuracy in ingredient measurement.

Work efficiently, following procedures, either independently or under supervision.

Maintain high standards of discipline and attention to detail due to the critical nature of the work.

Desirable: Ability to speak Welsh.
