Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team at NHS Jobs in Southend-on-sea. As a key member, you will contribute to the management and development of prescribing systems, ensuring safe, effective, and quality prescribing within our network. Collaborating with the PCN Clinical Pharmacist, you will lead individual prescribing projects, audits, and serve as the primary contact for complex prescribing queries.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the management and development of prescribing systems.
  • Work closely with the PCN Clinical Pharmacist on prescribing projects.
  • Develop strong relationships with local community pharmacies.
  • Act as a lead contact for complex prescribing queries.
  • Assist in training new Pharmacy Technicians.
  • Support member surgeries with CQC measures and PCN-driven targets.
  • Assist the Operations Manager with clinical administration.

Person Specification:

Experience:

  • Extensive experience in relevant clinical practice.
  • Previous Pharmacy Technician experience.
  • Portfolio evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
  • Delegation and supervision experience.
  • Effective teamwork within a multidisciplinary setting.
  • Prioritization and effective time management.
  • Experience in managing change and conflict situations.

Qualifications:

  • Essential: NVQ Level 3 / BTECH in pharmacy services or equivalent.
  • Essential: Accredited Checking Technician Qualification.

Desirable:

  • Experience in Audit.
  • Additional Accredited Checking Technician Qualification.
